This sample is a digital media project that I worked on with two classmates. The project, powered by Atavist, tells the story of Shane Bell, the owner and operator of the Lobsta Rollin food truck in Harrisonburg, Va. This piece was an assignment where I was tasked with reading research from a medical and scientific journal and then translate it into a piece that could be easily understood by the general public. This piece is an academic research paper analyzing the rhetorical methods utilized by alcohol and tobacco companies in their advertisements. This project gave me an interesting insight into how consumers are manipulated into buying certain products. Read the full paper here.
